ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ held the third meeting of the Senior Scholars Network in Durham on 12 March 2026. In addition to identifying ongoing challenges that scholars of South Asia faced alongside academics in other social sciences, participants at the meeting offered concrete suggestions that could help colleagues face these challenges. These suggestions included establishing support groups through which colleagues can learn from one another, developing a code of conduct for equitable research relations, and maintaining observatories pertaining to academic freedoms of scholars in and studying the region. The meeting offered a truly interdisciplinary platform for conversations among scholars of South Asia. Important interventions were made by the graduate students who attended, along with various colleagues from other North-Eastern universities working on South Asia.
